User activity monitoring

Conditional audio recording for greater privacy

To help you record important conversations and at the same time respect the privacy of employees, we have added a new option to audio recording monitoring settings to capture audio only when the microphone is used by selected applications. For example, serious audio is just not a business meeting application, such as MS Teams. You can use the Shared List resource to create a list of application permissions to simplify the configuration of conditions.

Tracking webcam usage

Our new camera usage monitoring report allows you to monitor the use of webcams by officials to understand when and how they are interacting visually and for their purposes. Easily track productive tasks (online meetings) or unproductive tasks (personal instant message calls) or use them to increase security by identifying potential risks (webcam used in suspicious applications during a confidential meeting).

As the rest of our monitored elements, you can also create rules related to the use of the webcam; allowing you to create and automatically apply secure webcam policies that prioritize privacy. 

Accompany online meetings on Zoom Web

You have already managed to accompany online meetings using the Zoom application for desktop, but now you can also accompany them using Zoom Web! 

Detect local IP addresses to improve network security

A new rule criterion, local IP, is now available in activity-based network rules. A new condition detects local IP addresses in a network connection and adds another layer of security to sub-networks and allows you to detect and implement policies related to local and external VPN connections.

Create custom productivity categories to classify employee activities

Now you can create personalized productivity categories according to the needs of your company. Creating your own categories enriches your specific productivity data and allows you to attribute different productivity labels to the same activity, depending on users and departments. The new custom productivity categories are found in the Configure menu.

New SIEM event for our customized BPO solution

We present a new event for SIEM integrations. In addition to being used for security and fraud detection use cases, the full customization of this resource allows it to be used for any BPO use case, including work flow analysis, performance monitoring, custom time control, and so on. 

Security and privacy of applications

Easily remove user data to comply with GDPR

Now, it is easier for our local clients to remove data from users to remain aligned with the data removal requirements and directly to the GDPR outline.

Restrict or allow employees to access their pain

We have introduced two options that allow you to control better or that employees can view/edit when you log in on your own panel. With this new resource you can disable or enable self-session and self-editing reports. This is useful for transparent monitoring and allows officials to view the monitored data without sacrificing the precision of two data or the privacy of two officials.

Confirmation of authentication is not required

Currently, an administrator or privileged user is required to confirm confidential changes in Painel Teramind (ex: edit account information, update departments, etc.), or serve as a security measure. We have added an option to disable the confirmation dialog box in the Steamline edition, so it is necessary to make several changes at once.

Administration management

Automate or control tasks and time with agent initialization parameters

We added some initialization parameters to the Revealed Agent on Windows and on Mac that will allow you to automatically log in a user, start a task, hide the UI and much more; and make the Revealed Agent less intrusive, hiding pop-up messages and interactions and, at the same time, reducing the space occupied by the system.

Decide when to receive notifications about offline computers

Previously, the NOTIFY WHEN OFFLINE option allowed you to receive a notification email when a computer was offline. The new COMPUTER OFFLINE THRESHOLD option allows you to specify when notifications will be sent to avoid notification fatigue and create an appropriate notification policy for your infrastructure, defining different limits for your critical systems and work stations. Access this option on the fabrics Computer Details > Edit Information / New Function and Functionaries > Mass Edition:

Find and replace the causes of blocked updates

If not, the Agent's remote updates may be blocked by Windows due to a pending reboot. Now, if it happens, the Notification screen displays the reason(s) for the blocked updates, as a new button on the screen Computers > Computer Details allows you to ignore the block and continue updating so that you never miss an event related to the update operations. .

Reduce the fatigue of two alerts by controlling the volume of two alerts at the level of the level

Now you can apply alert limits to each region individually. Available to local and new users, this Advanced Mode feature reduces false positives, saves analyst time, limits integrated SIEM bandwidth consumption, and protects SIEM log limits.

Exclude exported videos to free up resources

Now you can remove exported videos. We added an Exclude option to the System > Video Export screen that will allow you to exclude an exported video or remove exports in the row, allowing you to free up resources more easily and keep your video export list free of confusion.

Please be notified that new updates are available from the agent.

If you update your local server with a new Teramind update package (TMU) and TMU includes a new version of the Teramind agent, you will see a notification in your Teramind panel to never lose an update or new release.

Track custom business processes in your SIEM solution

We have added a new SIEM event that will help you capture many custom business processes. This resource works in conjunction with our fully customized professional services of Business Process Optimization (BPO) and In-App Field Parsing – giving you total freedom from tracking your exclusive business processes and how/where you use the collected process data.

Use your own custom settings for AD sync

Local users can now import their own custom configurations for Teramind-Active Directory (AD) integration, facilitating configuration updates with greater control over the synchronization execution method and formulating items such as search logic, filters, and actions such as attributing users to a department. 

Mac

Record the user's activities when offline

Support for the offline recording resource on Mac Hidden/Stealth Agent is now available in Monitoring Settings. With offline recording enabled, you can also collect activity data and apply policies, including the agent setting offline. This type of continuous coverage and uninterrupted policy implementation enriches incident investigation telemetry, increases productivity data, and explains activity gaps. 

Use shared lists to simplify monitoring and behavior rules

Shared lists in behavior rules and monitoring configurations are also added to the Mac. You can create a shared list to create complex rules and save time by configuring application monitoring profiles. For example, you can create permission lists/blacklists of your sites and applications and share the list in different modes without needing to insert the data from the website and the application again each time. The updating of the Shared Lists will automatically update the conditions of the Records where they are only used.

Control how interceptions and network certificates are processed

For Mac users, you can now control how the Teramind proxy certificate will be inserted into sites and/or how network packets will be intercepted for better troubleshooting, compatibility and privacy. Use the new network monitoring settings for SSL and Track Network Connections to customize how you capture network events, such as web browsing versus connection statistics, or to disable tracking of network activities, but also implement network-based behavioral rules.

Uninstall the agent remotely, from your panel

For easier and faster endpoint management, we activate the Uninstall PC Agent option on the Computers and Computer Details for Mac option so that you can uninstall the Hidden/Stealth Agent from a computer remotely from the panel:

Automate agent behavior with initialization parameters

Our new initialization parameters for the Revealed Agent on Windows and on Mac allow you to automatically login a user and start a predefined task. This is useful in situations where you want to run the Agent from another application or script. For example, you may already be using a time control application and you still want to use Teramind for detailed user activities and fabric recording. 

Other new resources and goodies

Much more in this version, with several important features for monitoring, reports and user interface, such as advanced detection of signal fields and IPv6 support for Zoom and MS Teams.
